The Event
Val and Roger tied the knot in a beautiful and intimate ceremony in Tobago on 5th July last year. The tropical setting allowed them to celebrate with just a few witnesses, keeping things personal and heartfelt. Upon their return, they wanted to bring together family and friends for a grand reception party in Preston on 24th August this year, blending the memories of their special day with the joy of celebrating with loved ones.
My Role
As their wedding planner, I worked closely with Val and Roger to ensure their reception was an elegant and stress-free event. My role involved:
- Supplier Management: I took care of sourcing, booking, and liaising with all the suppliers to ensure everything ran smoothly.
- Regular Consultations: I held several meetings with Val and Roger to discuss their vision. We talked through everything—from colour themes to logistics and timings—to make sure every detail matched their dream reception.
- Creative Design: I designed, sourced, and personally set up the table centrepieces, making sure they reflected the couple’s unique style and the tropical flair of their wedding abroad.
The Result
The party was a perfect celebration of Val and Roger’s love, full of personal touches and surrounded by family and friends. From the beautifully designed table centrepieces to the seamless flow of the evening, the reception was a true reflection of their unique journey—from a sun-soaked ceremony in Tobago to an unforgettable night in Lancashire.
